EU Delegation to the African Union Offers Funded Traineeship Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate fascinated by international relations and eager to work with a diplomatic mission? The EU Delegation to the African Union may have the perfect opportunity for you! They are seeking young professionals for a funded traineeship based in Ethiopia.

Key Requirements

  • Must currently reside in Ethiopia
  • Master’s degree in political science, international relations, economics, law, or related social studies.
  • Maximum of one year of professional work experience.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about the African Union’s politics, economics, and governance.

Traineeship Responsibilities

  • Support the Political, Press and Information: Policy & Cooperation Sections
  • Attend key meetings and prepare detailed minutes.
  • Contribute to statements, speeches, reports, and information gathering.
  • Focus on mobility, migration, youth, economic integration, and multilateral relations.
  • Help prepare for important EU-AU events.
  • Draft press releases, project summaries, and other communications.
  • Assist with organizing events like seminars and tournaments.
  • Research and summarize important political and cooperation issues.

Benefits

  • A 6-month traineeship starting in April 2024.
  • Receive a monthly grant to help cover living expenses.
