- Toolkit creation: Collaborate to produce resources amplifying youth voices across sub-Saharan Africa.
Are You a Fit? Selection Criteria
The ideal Kofi Annan Leader embodies:
- Age 18-35: Designed specifically for younger voices at the forefront of change.
- Proven engagement: Track record on issues like accountability, youth inclusion, or similar.
- Based in Sub-Saharan Africa: Your work must drive impact within the region.
- English or French fluency: Necessary for program participation.
- Commitment to training: May-Sept 2023 online commitment, plus later in-person events.
- Diversity matters: Young women and members of groups underrepresented in leadership arenas are especially encouraged to apply.
How to Apply (Deadline: March 10, 2023)
- Secure nominator: A respected organization/person believing in your work submits a strong support letter on your behalf.
- Complete YOUR form: Showcase past actions and commitment to democracy.
- Go beyond written materials: Optional submissions (video, publications, etc.) strengthen your application.
