The African Union Digital and Innovation Fellowship Program is a pioneering initiative spanning 12 months. Tech enthusiasts from across Africa will converge at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as resident fellows. Their mission? To tackle intricate data management challenges within the AU system through innovation and collaboration.

Fellows will be immersed in various AU units, gaining insights into existing systems and co-creating innovative solutions. By addressing data management challenges, they aim to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate good governance and citizen engagement initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
Are You the Next Fellow?
To qualify for the AU Digital and Innovation Fellowship, applicants must:
- Be based in Africa and a national of an AU member state.
- Be under 34 years old at the time of application.
- Hold a tertiary education degree or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate analytical skills and propose effective solutions.
- Possess technical expertise in designing innovative technology solutions.
- Commit to a 12-month fellowship, including travel and participation in workshops.
Language Skills: A Plus!
Proficiency in one or more AU official languages—Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swahili—is encouraged.
